Wigwam Wellbeing is a non-profit Organisation and outreach service to improve the Wellbeing and lifestyle of people of working age with early onset dementia and other mental illnesses including ARBD (Alcohol Related Brain Damage).
Wigwam Wellbeing’s approach is to encourage a healthier lifestyle. This may include changes to diet/nutrition and becoming more active for example exercise, walking, cycling, gardening etc. This has shown results in enabling them to retain their existing skills whilst helping them to develop new skills and interests. As well as improving the life quality of the residents it can also help to slow down the progression of their condition and improve their outcomes.
Our mission to enable individuals of working age with early onset dementia and other mental illnesses to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle, which allows them to participate in and enjoy life events and improve their overall outcomes.
